Dental care in Istanbul, planned with you

Dental work in Istanbul is often more than one appointment. This guide explains how implants, veneers and smile design differ, why bite belongs in the same conversation as cosmetics, and how digital planning is used in ordinary language.
Estefulya Global helps you understand what you want from your smile, introduces you to an independent dental team, and stays with you between visits and after you fly home. Chair-side work and the laboratory sit with that team.
Each option below is a different starting point. Read the one that feels closest, then write to us. We help you decide, match the right doctor and facility, and stay with you through the process.
Implants
Dental implants
People missing one or more teeth who want a fixed replacement rather than a removable denture.
Veneers
Porcelain veneers
People who want to change the look of front teeth that are still present: color, small chips, or uneven edges.
Smile design
Smile planning
People who want a full look at the smile as a set: gums, length, midline, and how teeth meet.

01
Visit one
Planning, imaging, and often placement.
02
Healing window
Time at home while the site settles. Not a brochure number.
03
Visit two
Final tooth when the partner team says the site is ready.
An implant is a root-shaped support placed in the bone, then restored with a crown or bridge after planning and healing time.
People missing one or more teeth who want a fixed replacement rather than a removable denture.
Implants are not veneers. They replace a missing tooth from the root up. A partner dental team looks at bone, gums, bite, and medical history. Some cases need a graft or a sinus discussion first. That is why we do not quote a one-visit promise from a smile selfie.
Many implant journeys use more than one visit: planning and placement, then a later visit for the final tooth when the site is ready. Time between visits depends on healing, not on a brochure. You may go home with a temporary.
Useful first photos are a wide smile and, if you have them, recent X-rays or a dentist letter. We coordinate the itinerary and the lab timeline. Partner dentists and labs do the clinical work.

Surface, not a root
Veneers
Porcelain veneers
01
Shade
Color should match you, not a stock white.
02
Shape
Edges and length change the smile more than brightness.
03
Bite
If the bite is wrong, veneers are the wrong first step.
A veneer is a thin cover bonded to the front of a tooth. It is a cosmetic path, not an implant.
People who want to change the look of front teeth that are still present: color, small chips, or uneven edges.
Veneers can refine shape and shade. They are a poor fit if the real problem is a missing tooth, a deep bite issue, or untreated gum disease. A partner dentist may say no, or may suggest treating the bite first.
Digital planning, mock-ups, and photos help you see a direction before anything is bonded. You should still expect an in-person exam. Whitening at home is not the same treatment.
Tell us if you grind your teeth or play contact sport. That changes how a partner team talks about strength and night guards. We arrange the visit. The dental team owns the prep and the bond.

Planning conversation

Smile planning
01
What bothers you in photos?
Length, gaps, shade, or the gum line.
02
How do teeth meet?
Bite problems change the whole plan.
03
What is already missing?
A gap may need an implant, not a veneer.
Smile design is the planning conversation. The later work may be veneers, implants, or a mix.
People who want a full look at the smile as a set: gums, length, midline, and how teeth meet.
If you are not sure whether you need veneers, implants, or only whitening, start here. Smile design means the partner team studies proportion and bite before anyone picks a product name.
You will be asked for smile photos at rest and talking, and sometimes a short video. Filters hide the midline and the gum line. We use those files for a preliminary assessment, then the dentist confirms in Istanbul.
This is the most honest door if you feel lost in dental ads. We help you arrive with a clear question. Partner teams deliver the dentistry.
What coordinated dental care is, and what it is not

Dental care in this article means planned work on teeth, gums, and how those teeth meet when you chew. People write about missing teeth, chipped edges, stained enamel, old crowns, or a smile they have disliked for years. Those requests often get grouped as implants, veneers, or smile design. The labels help a first conversation. They are not interchangeable products, and Estefulya Global does not deliver them in a chair. Partner dental teams treat you and work with partner labs. We coordinate the journey around that work.
An implant replaces a missing tooth: a fixture in the jaw that acts like a root, and a crown that sits on top once the partner team is ready. A veneer is a thin custom cover bonded to a tooth you still have, usually to change color, length, or the edge. Smile design is not a third device. It is a planning approach that may combine veneers, implants, gum work, whitening, or replacement of older bridges. A personalised preliminary assessment can sort which family of options is worth discussing. It is not a treatment prescription.
Many readers arrive with someone else's smile photo and hope the same look can be copied in one visit. Teeth sit in living bone and gum, and they have a bite. Changing only the faces that show in a selfie can leave contacts that hit too hard. Partner specialists judge those risks in person. Remote photos help us open a file. They do not replace an exam or X-rays the treating team may take in Istanbul.
01
Implants: replacing a tooth that is no longer there
People ask for implants when a tooth was extracted, never formed, or failed after a fracture or infection. The partner team decides whether bone and gum can support a fixture and when a temporary tooth can hide the gap. Implants often have stages: records and placement, healing while bone and the fixture settle together, then a final crown from a partner lab. Those stages sometimes fit one longer stay and often fit two. Healing months between stages are biology. We will not invent a guaranteed visit count.
02
Veneers: covering teeth you still have
Veneers are discussed when the teeth are present and the complaint is shape, color, small chips, or uneven edges. The partner team may prepare a thin layer of enamel so ceramic can sit without looking bulky. Veneers do not replace a missing root. If a tooth is badly broken or infected at the root, a veneer may be the wrong tool. A remote photo of white teeth cannot prove that hidden surfaces are healthy.
03
Smile design: a plan, not a single product
Smile design means the partner team looks at the face, lip line, gum heights, remaining tooth color, and how the smile appears in speech, then proposes changes that belong together. It may be several veneers, implants in the back with veneers in front, or a smaller change than a gallery suggested. Write what bothers you in the mirror and what bothers you when you chew as two lists. A copied celebrity smile on a different face is a planning problem. Partner teams may decline a copy-paste request.
04
Bite versus cosmetics
Cosmetics are what you see when you smile: color, length, edge curve, and whether the midline looks centered. Bite is how the upper and lower teeth meet when you close, chew, and slide. Those goals can support each other or fight. Lengthening front teeth can overload them if the back teeth no longer share the work. Night grinding, clicking, or clenching all matter. A personalised preliminary assessment can note both lists. It cannot promise that every cosmetic change will feel comfortable on day one.
05
Digital planning in plain language
Digital planning sounds like a finished movie of your future teeth. In the room it is more ordinary. The partner team may photograph you, scan the tooth surfaces, and take X-rays if they need to see bone. Software lets them move proposed shapes on a model and show a preview. That preview is a conversation tool, not a photograph of the mouth you will have in six months. Temps let you look and speak on a trial shape before the partner lab finishes the ceramic. Treat digital files as maps. The specialist still examines you in person.
06
Smile photos that help a preliminary assessment
Coordinators often ask for a small set of pictures: a full-face smile, lips at rest, a close-up of the upper teeth in even light with no filter, a front view with teeth gently closed and another with them slightly apart, and a side smile if you can take one. Arch photos and existing X-rays help when you already have them. We treat photos as a starting map for a personalised preliminary assessment, not as a substitute for an exam. Estefulya Global is a healthcare navigation platform. Partner dental teams own the medical plan.
Who we are in a dental journey

For dental care, Estefulya Global helps you understand implants, veneers and smile design, weigh visit timing, and introduce you to an independent dental team. We stay with you between appointments and after you fly home. Chair-side work sits with that team. Custom ceramic sits with the laboratory they use.
Our office is in Fulya, Şişli, Istanbul, at Teşvikiye Mah. Hakkı Yeten Cad. No:11 D:51, Fulya Terrace Center 2. This is where we meet you and walk through the plan. Scans and fittings happen at the facility chosen for your case.
Photos, messages, X-rays you send, and medical notes are shared only with Estefulya coordinators and the relevant partner specialists who need them for assessment and care coordination. Files are encrypted in transit and stored for that purpose. We do not sell your data. We do not use it for unrelated marketing lists.
Across the platform, not only dental care, we have coordinated 5,000+ healthcare journeys, with 98% satisfaction reported in our internal follow-up, patients from 80+ countries, and 15+ years of combined healthcare experience in our team. Those figures describe the platform. They do not predict whether an implant will integrate or how many nights you will sleep in Istanbul. When we match you, we look at your goals, prior dental work, travel window, and the kind of case a partner team routinely handles.
Who a coordinated dental journey is for, and who should wait

People who write to us usually fall into a few practical groups. Some have lived with a gap for years and now have time to travel. Some dislike the color or edges of front teeth that are otherwise solid. Some already had crowns or veneers elsewhere and are unhappy with shape, shade, or bite. Some want a wider smile plan because several teeth tell the story. None of those stories automatically qualifies you. They tell us which questions to ask and which partner dental teams to involve in a preliminary review.
A coordinated international journey asks more of you than a local cleaning. You will fly, stay in a city you may not know, and manage temps or a healing implant site away from your usual dentist. It is a poor fit if you cannot take time off, cannot return for a second visit if the plan needs one, or cannot accept that temps are not the final ceramic. If your main need is a same-week perfect smile before an event next Friday, say so early. Lab time often makes that request unrealistic.
Who should wait matters as much as who should travel. Active gum infection, untreated decay, uncontrolled blood sugar, pregnancy, or a recent medicine change can all move dates. If you smoke or vape, say so. If you need urgent pain relief tonight, local emergency dentistry where you live comes first. Estefulya does not diagnose you. Educational notes on this page are not a medical opinion about your case. Bring a current medicine list. Hidden prior work or an unknown implant system is one of the fastest ways for a remote review to miss a complication.
01
Write cosmetic goals and bite or chewing goals as two short lists.
02
Tell us about missing teeth, old bridges, night guards, grind habits, and every prior implant or veneer you remember.
03
Expect a personalised preliminary assessment, not a promise of a named ceramic brand.
04
Be ready to wait if gum disease, illness, or timing makes travel unwise.

01
First message
You write on WhatsApp or through the short inquiry form on this website. Name, country, a way to reach you, and a few sentences about your teeth are enough to open a file. If you can only travel once, mention it. A coordinator replies with the next useful step. There is no instruction to send photos before you are ready.
02
Smile photos and records
If a preliminary review would be useful, the coordinator explains which views help: a full-face smile, lips at rest, a close-up of the upper teeth, teeth closed and slightly apart, and a side smile if you can take one. Arch photos and existing X-rays are welcome when you already have them. Photos travel only to coordinators and the relevant partner specialists.
03
Coordinator review
A coordinator sorts goals, prior dental work, health notes, and travel constraints. They flag missing facts rather than guessing. They do not grade your smile. They prepare a clean summary for a partner dental specialist. If a photo is hard to read, they may ask for one more picture.
04
Partner specialist input for a preliminary assessment
The summary and images go to a relevant partner dental specialist. That person comments on what the photos suggest, what cannot be judged remotely, and what options might be discussed in person. We turn that input into a personalised preliminary assessment in ordinary language. It will not read like a lab prescription. You should finish this step knowing more about questions to ask.
05
Questions, options, and next steps
You receive the assessment and a chance to ask follow-up questions. People often ask about stay length, temps, and whether they can fly between implant placement and the final crown. We answer what belongs to coordination. The specialist answers what belongs to dentistry. If the assessment suggests waiting, we say that plainly. Nothing in this step books a chair without your agreement.
06
Travel dates, hotel, transfers, and interpreter
Once you want to move forward, we work backward from the care window the partner team and lab can offer. You book your own flights in most journeys. We help you choose arrival and departure days that leave room for an exam and the work planned for that stay. Hotel options are usually near the partner facility or along a simple route to Fulya. Airport pickup can be arranged from IST or SAW.
07
Arrival and office or facility flow
On arrival, a driver typically meets you at the door you were told to use. You go to the hotel first in many plans so you can rest. The next block is often a visit to the Consultation and Coordination Office, a meeting at the partner dental facility, or both. Bring your passport, medicine list, and copies of any records you already sent. The office visit is for orientation. The facility visit is for the specialist's exam.
08
Care visits: what we do and what the partner team does
On treatment days we stay with you on the ground: the car, the interpreter if booked, the facility's eating or medicine instructions, and a way for a companion to wait. Your dental team leads consent, the chair-side work, and the first aftercare orders. Partner labs own the custom ceramic.
09
Lab interval, temps, and time in the city
Custom veneers, crowns, and implant restorations are not printed from a selfie overnight. A partner lab needs time to build shape, contacts, and shade, then the treating team needs time to try the work in your mouth. That is why many plans use two visits: one stay for planning, preparation, and temps, then a later stay for the final fit. Some cases can be grouped differently. We do not invent a guaranteed visit count. Leave room for an extra try-in if the specialist asks for one.
10
Flight home and remote follow-up
When the treating team is comfortable with you flying, we confirm transfer timing to IST or SAW. After you land at home, follow-up continues by message and photo on an agreed schedule. Early photos of gums or temps are for healing and fit checks, not for judging shade. If something feels wrong (fever, swelling that grows, a veneer that feels high), you contact us and we escalate to the partner team.
Planning your visit

There is no single honest night count for every implant, veneer, or smile-design file. A first stay often covers an exam, records, and the work the partner team can complete before the lab needs uninterrupted time. A later stay, when the plan uses one, is often shorter and focused on try-in and final fit. Implant healing can insert months between those stays. Build flexibility into tickets when you can.
Time off work should cover more than the flight. The first days after implant placement can include swelling and a soft-food week. New temps can bring a lisp and awareness of longer edges. Physical jobs wait for the specialist's clearance. A companion helps with bags and the first grocery run. Some adults travel alone because transfers are already booked. Tell us who is coming so the driver expects the right headcount.
Istanbul has two main international airports. Istanbul Airport (IST) sits on the European side and handles many long-haul arrivals. Sabiha Gokcen (SAW) sits on the Asian side and is common for certain carriers. Transfer time depends on traffic and which side your hotel is on. We schedule pickup from the airport written on your ticket. If your inbound flight changes, send the new number as soon as you have it.
The Consultation and Coordination Office keeps weekday hours Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Saturday 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and Sunday by appointment only. After-hours emergencies go through the contact channel your coordinator gives you, then to the partner facility if the issue is clinical. Coordinators work in English and, depending on assignment, Arabic, German, or French.
01
A night guard if you grind, plus retainers, flippers, or dentures you still wear.
02
Your usual medicines in original packaging, plus a written list of doses.
03
Passport and copies of prior X-rays or implant cards if you have them.
What happens after you land

The first hour in Istanbul should feel boring in a good way. A driver meets you and takes the mapped route to the hotel. If you land late, we do not drag you to an office meeting. Sleep is part of safety. If you land early and feel clear-headed, a short orientation at the coordination office can happen the same day.
Hotels we suggest are chosen for a quiet room, a reliable front desk, and a car time that makes sense for the partner dental facility. You are not required to take the first option. We separate hotel billing from medical billing so you can see which invoice is which.
Interpreter support, when booked, is for medical conversations: consent, the exam, shade talk, and the first aftercare instructions. The interpreter is not a tour guide and is not a decision-maker. If two people heard two different versions of a chewing restriction, we stop and clarify before the car leaves.
Facility visits follow the partner team's rules. You will show identification, meet the clinical staff, and sit for the specialist. Estefulya staff may wait in a lobby or join an agreed portion of the conversation. We do not stand over a sterile field. After a preparation or implant visit, early check-ins are usually short.
Aftercare in the city mixes clinical visits and ordinary support. Someone may need extra gauze or a softer breakfast than the hotel buffet assumed. We would rather you send a photo to the agreed channel than guess. If the specialist wants you to come in for a bite adjustment, we move the car. Travel fitness before a home flight belongs to the treating team. We then lock the airport run.

Results you should judge on a long clock
Days
Swelling, scabs, or early change. Not the result.
Weeks
Social comfort starts to return. Photos still lie.
Months
The window used to judge healing and growth.

A dental result is not the smile you photograph in the chair while your lips are still numb. It is the way the teeth look, meet, and feel after gums have settled and after you have spoken and eaten for weeks in your own kitchen. Temps are a rehearsal. They can look bulky or pick up stain from tea. That does not mean the final ceramic will copy those faults. Send a note if a temp feels painfully high. The partner team would rather adjust a trial than let you grind a mistake into the jaw.
After implant placement, swelling is common in the first days. The fixture and bone need time together before many final crowns are wise. That interval is often discussed in months, not days. After veneers, the first week is about speech and learning where the new edges are. None of these marks is a guarantee. Appearance photos on this page are not provided as dental before-and-after pairs. Individual results vary. We do not invent patient names. If a chip or loose crown appears after you fly home, you write to us. Local urgent care still comes first if you have spreading swelling.
Safety, privacy, and responsibilities

Navigation and coordination
We help you understand your options, introduce the right independent specialist and facility, plan the journey, and stay with you after you return home.
Your doctor
Diagnosis and treatment
Diagnosis, consent, technique, and medical aftercare belong to your doctor and the treating facility.

Clinical responsibility sits with the partner dental team and the partner facility. They decide whether you are a candidate after an in-person exam, which teeth to touch, and what you must do after you leave the building. Partner labs are responsible for the custom work they fabricate. Estefulya Global does not write those orders. If a safety concern appears (fever, spreading facial swelling, bleeding that does not slow), we contact the treating team, move a car, and delay a flight if they ask.
Every dental procedure carries risk. Implant risks include infection, failure of the fixture to settle in bone, and a need to change the plan if bone volume is not what the photos suggested. Veneer and crown risks include sensitivity, a shade you dislike under home light, and fracture if the bite is heavy. Anesthesia has its own risks, which the facility team should explain before you agree. Percentages on a webpage cannot describe your case.
Privacy is part of safety. Smile photos and X-rays are identifiable. We share them only with coordinators and the relevant partner specialists for assessment and care coordination. Transfer is encrypted. We do not sell images. Tell the truth about prior dental work, grind habits, medicines, and smoking. If someone sounds as if Estefulya will prepare your teeth or seat your ceramic, stop and ask us to restate who does what.
Costs and what a quote can include

There is no honest public price list that fits every dental journey. A single implant, a few veneers, a wider smile-design set, bone grafting if needed, lab complexity, and how many nights you stay all move the number. Anyone offering a single figure before photos and a specialist's view is guessing. We wait for a personalised preliminary assessment and a partner plan, then we explain the quote in parts you can read.
A coordination quote usually covers matching, itinerary, airport transfers that we arrange, interpreter time if booked through us, and follow-up messaging after you go home. The medical quote from the partner side usually covers the dental team's time, the facility, and the lab work as they define those lines. The hotel is often a separate invoice. Flights are almost always yours. Extra nights, pharmacy items, and a second visit if the plan needs one are typically extra or quoted as a later stage.
Quotes can change if the in-person exam shows decay under an old crown or less bone than a blurry X-ray suggested. We would rather send an updated breakdown than hide a surprise in a bundle name. Insurance coverage for international elective dental work is uncommon. We do not promise reimbursement.
Pricing follows assessment and the partner plan. We share a labelled quote once that plan exists.

Is the Fulya office a dental clinic?
You meet us at our Fulya office to talk the plan through. Chair-side work takes place with the independent dental team you are matched with. If the plan needs two visits, we stay with you between them and after you fly home.
Who performs the implants, veneers, or smile design work?
Your dentist, at the facility we help you choose. Whether to treat, which teeth to touch, and whether an implant or a veneer is appropriate are that team's responsibility. Labs fabricate the custom ceramic from the records they send. Estefulya helps you reach that decision, prepares the file, and stays with you through the visits. Use the in-person exam to ask the questions only the treating dentist can answer.
What is a personalised preliminary assessment?
It is a written planning note based on your goals, your history, and, when useful, smile photos or records you already have. A coordinator prepares the file. A relevant partner dental specialist may add comments on what the images suggest and what must wait for an exam. The note is not a treatment prescription, not a booking, and not a promise of a shade. It exists so you can decide whether to travel and what to ask next. After you arrive, the plan can change because bone, decay, and bite are clearer in the room than on a phone screen.
What is the difference between implants, veneers, and smile design?
An implant replaces a missing tooth with a fixture in the jaw and a crown the partner team attaches when the site is ready. A veneer is a thin custom cover on a tooth you still have, usually for color or shape. Smile design is a planning approach, not a third device. It may combine veneers, implants, gum work, or replacement of older bridges so the visible smile and the bite belong together. Photos can hint at which family of options is worth discussing. Only an in-person exam can confirm it.
Why do many plans use two visits instead of one stay?
Custom ceramic and many implant crowns are made in a partner lab after the treating team records your teeth. That work needs time, then a try-in in your mouth, then adjustments. Healing after implant placement can also need weeks or months before a final tooth is wise. Two visits (planning and temps on one stay, final fit on another) are a common way to give biology and the lab that time. Some cases can be grouped differently. We do not invent a guaranteed visit count.
Which smile photos help a preliminary assessment?
A full-face smile, a photo with the lips at rest, a close-up of the upper teeth in even light, a front view with the teeth closed and another with them slightly apart, and a side smile if you can take one. Arch photos and existing X-rays help when you already have them. Those views let a specialist see how much gum shows and a first hint of the bite. They remain tools for a preliminary assessment only. Photos are shared only with coordinators and the relevant partner specialists, encrypted, and never sold.
How does digital planning work in ordinary language?
The partner team may scan the surfaces of your teeth and take photographs, then use software to move proposed shapes on a model. They may also take X-rays if they need to see under the gum. The preview you are shown is a conversation tool, not a finished photograph of your future mouth. Temps let you look and speak before the lab completes the ceramic. Digital files cannot measure how a longer tooth feels when you laugh. Treat them as maps. The specialist still examines you in person.
What is the difference between bite goals and cosmetic goals?
Cosmetic goals are what you see in a smile: color, length, symmetry, and how the edges follow the lip. Bite goals are how the teeth meet when you close, chew, and slide. Changing only the pretty faces can leave a contact that hits too hard or front teeth that take load the back teeth used to share. Grinding and chewing pain belong in the first message. A personalised preliminary assessment can record both lists. The partner team checks the bite in the chair and may adjust temps or finals more than once.
Why does lab work take time between visits?
A partner lab builds custom shape, shade, and contacts that have to fit your other teeth and your jaw, not a stock mold. Complex smile-design sets and implant restorations need more steps than a single small filling. The treating team then tries the work in your mouth. A high spot or a shade that looks wrong in daylight can send a piece back. That interval is why many journeys leave space between a preparation visit and a final-fit visit. We schedule around the lab's honest time, not around a slogan.
How long do people usually stay in Istanbul?
There is no single night count that fits every implant, veneer, or smile-design plan. A first stay often covers the exam, records, and the work scheduled before the lab needs uninterrupted time. A later stay, when the plan uses one, is often focused on try-in and final fit. Implant healing can insert months between those windows. We align hotel and transfers to the range the partner team recommends. Flying home the morning after a surgical visit is usually too soon.
Which airports do you use for pickup?
We plan airport transfers from Istanbul Airport (IST) and from Sabiha Gokcen Airport (SAW). You choose the flight. We need the correct airport, terminal if you have it, and any delay updates. Drive time depends on traffic and which side of the city your hotel is on. A late arrival usually goes straight to the hotel. A morning arrival can include an office or facility visit if you are rested. Send the ticket as soon as you book so the driver is not waiting at the other airport.
How are costs decided if there is no public price list?
Pricing follows the assessment and the partner plan. The number of teeth, whether implants or veneers or both are in play, lab complexity, grafting if needed, hotel nights, and a possible second visit all change the total. We break quotes into coordination, medical and lab, and hotel lines when those are billed separately. Flights are usually yours. Extra nights and pharmacy items are typically extra. If the in-person exam changes the plan, we send an updated breakdown. We share a labelled quote once a partner plan exists.
How do I start a dental conversation?
Send a WhatsApp message or complete the same short inquiry form used on this website. Share your name, country, and what bothers you about your teeth in plain sentences. Smile photos are welcome later if a preliminary assessment would help. There is no photo-upload funnel on this page and no need to send a studio set before you have read how pictures are used. A coordinator will reply with the next useful step. That is enough to begin. You are not booking a chair or approving a lab prescription by filling the form.
